Frequently Asked Questions
What is "The Keepsake Capsule"?
"The Keepsake Capsule" is a sustainable clothing initiative focused on repurposing and customising garments. We offer two main pathways: interactive workshops where you participate and create personalised wearable art, and custom creations through our website, where you send your garments to be redesigned and printed with your chosen images, graphically generated by the designer.
How can I create a custom garment through your website?
Visit the "Custom Creations" page on our website. You can fill out a form with your preferences, and send your garment and preferred images through our website. Our designer will create a unique graphic print, which will be printed onto your garment and then shipped back to you.
How does the Wear Your Memories Workshop work?
In the Wear Your Memories Workshop, you bring a garment and printed-out images. During the workshop, you'll collage these images into a design, which we then digitise and print onto your garment. You'll take home your customised creation at the end of the session. The workshop is a fun experience to interact with friends and family.
What types of garments can I bring or send?
To complete the workshop, the garment must be at least 70%-100% cotton, the garment also cannot be ribbed fabric. We also highly recommend using a T-shirt for the workshop. The garment should be clean with minimal stains, no severe damage, and not stretched-out.
What if I don't have printed images for the workshop?
We strongly recommend bringing your printed images. If you do forget to print your images, we do have a printer onsite you can use at an additional cost.
Is there a limit to the number of images I can use?
For the workshop, we recommend bringing as many printed images as you would like, there is no limit. For custom creations, we recommend 3-10 images for the best design results, but we can accommodate more or fewer depending on your vision.
What is the cost of the workshop or custom garment service?
Pricing varies depending on the service and complexity of the design. Please view our Workshop page for detailed pricing information or contact us for a quote for custom creations.
How long does it take to receive my customised garment?
For the workshop, you’ll take your garment home the same day. For online custom orders, the process typically takes 2-3 weeks, including design, printing, and shipping.
Can I participate in the workshop if I’m not in Australia?
Currently, our workshops are held in Sydney, Australia. However, you can still take part in the custom creation process by sending your garment through our website, we ship internationally.
How do you ensure sustainability in your process?
We focus on reusing and repurposing existing garments, reducing textile waste. Our process also promotes mindful consumption by encouraging the creation of personalised, meaningful fashion that lasts.
What if I’m not satisfied with the final product?
Customer satisfaction is our priority. If you’re not happy with the final product, please contact us, and we’ll work with you to resolve any issues. Also be sure to view our Terms & Conditions before participating in the workshop and ordering your custom creation.
